Who we are
ihdaa (إهداء - Arabic for "to gift") was born in Bahrain with a simple idea: giving should feel personal without taking away the freedom to choose. From a coffee or a meal to a book or a treatment, you send the thought; they choose the moment.
Why ihdaa exists
Traditional gift cards can expire, get lost or lock someone into one thing. We wanted something better: a gift that keeps its value, works simply at the chosen shop, can be used over time and can be passed on. We also wanted the same idea to help Community Partners give with dignity - a gift a family chooses, not a parcel chosen for them.
What we believe
ihdaa is built to make giving go further. We cover our costs and pay our team fairly. After that, half of the remaining surplus goes to community causes through our Community Partners and half goes back into developing ihdaa and supporting the people who build it.
Clarity, always.
Every shop sees its fees and commission before joining. Those terms do not change without its agreement.
A gift should keep its promise.
A gift keeps its value until it is used. If the chosen shop cannot serve it, ihdaa works to make it right.
Transparency by design.
We share half our surplus with community causes and publish the figures so our pledge can be seen, not just said.
